Tavern East (Sara Sun Notarbartolo, Claudio Javier Valenzuela Benegas, Giulio Barbato) was founded by a group of artists of different backgrounds and training in the winter del 2004 all’interno di un centro sociale napoletano, il DAMM .
La compagnia, definita come “le realtà più interessanti del nuovo panorama italiano” (Nicola Viesti, Hystrio) e “le nuove forze del teatro, che nascono letteralmente dal basso” (Renato Palazzi, Il sole 24 ore) da subito si connota per l’impegno civile sia attraverso gli spettacoli che attraverso i laboratori rivolti sia ad attori che a bambini e ragazzi delle zone difficili del territorio.
Il primo progetto realizzato assieme è lo spettacolo ‘O Mare, incentrato sulla questione dell’immigrazione che fa parte della Selezione Premio Ustica ed è premiato come Generazione Scenario 2005.

"Pathways to Peace", a workshop to educate non-violence through theater, designed for children on the outskirts of Naples.
"Small circus schools" for children in the neighborhood of Naples Montesanto, children of Roma camps in the suburbs.
"Arrevuoto, Scampia-Napoli" a project that Mercadante Teatro Stabile di Napoli joins the boys of the city center with the kids in the suburbs of modest means.

Lì abbiamo offerto un laboratorio teatrale e in cambio abbiamo avuto la possibilità di scoprire davvero, dal di dentro, come può essere la vita di una comunità di bambini senza genitori.

TAVERNA EST presenta “RAMBLAS - vie permanenti dell’arte di strada” di BenegasBarbatoSole dal 19 al 21 giugno a Napoli

Il Progetto Ramblas nasce da un’idea di Sara Sole Notarbartolo e prende forma grazie all’impegno e allo spirito creativo di Giulio Barbato e Claudio Javier Benegas che operano in Naples as street artists since 2004.
The goal is to create a permanent street arts in Naples, the street where spaces are easily granted and permits for street artists and a hat that becomes a landmark, an event for the inhabitants of the city and for its visitors.

So from 19 June to 21 among more than thirty artists, bands, acrobats, musicians will create a continuous, traveling festival with events and performances for the audience that crosses Via Scarlatti, Via Toledo and the Villa Comunale.

Lo spettacolo, Premio Nuove Cretività, con il sostegno dell'ETI, è scritto e diretto da Sara Sole Notarbartolo e vede in scena Giulio Barbato, Claudio Javier Benegas, Pietro Botte, Valentina Curatoli, Lisa Falzarano, Rosario Giglio, Marlilisa Mautone, Antonella Romano.
Il disegno luci è curato da Silvia D'Alesio, scene e costumi El Pampa.


Lo spettacolo racconta una storia avvenuta a Napoli, nel 1919, quando, appena finita la guerra, nel mentre che prendeva forma il fascismo, una ragazzina di nome Assuntina cominciò a cacciare fiori dalla carne e a i fare miracoli.
