Opere e documenti d’epoca ripercorrono la vita del ritrattista erede della tradizione rinascimentale toscana.
Al Castello Ursino anche “Agatae”, inedito disegno dedicato alla santa patrona di Catania
CATANIA, 16 novembre 2010 – Un centinaio di opere d’arte fra disegni, oli, sculture e poi
fotografie, taccuini, lettere, cartoline e persino le pagelle scolastiche di Amedeo Modigliani (Livorno 1884 – Paris, 1920) to rebuild Catania, from December 11 to February 11, 2011, for the exhibition "Modigliani, portraits of the soul, the human and artistic path of the great Tuscan genius: a route to the ball and its affective

The exhibition, housed in the Museo Civico Castello Ursino - a medieval fortress built by Frederick II of Swabia
- is organized by the "Modigliani Institut Archives Légales, Paris-Rome, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the City of Catania and the company of Side A
Gibiino John, coordinator of the collections of the artist from Livorno, on the initiative of the mayor, Raffaele Stancanelli, and the Councillor for Culture and Major Events of the City of Catania, the designer Marella Ferrera. The exhibition - in chronological order, which kicks off after the birth of Amedeo, the mother called "a ray of sunshine that baby" - will be 25 drawings, 4 oil on canvas, sculptures over 5 to 7 Gibiino drawings selected from among those held Collectors Sicilian and made in Paris between 1909 and 1919 where, in the district of Montmartre, he lived in contact with artists and intellectuals such as Picasso, Cocteau, Max Jacob, Apollinaire, and many others.

Yes,
Federica Giaconia , after countless hours stolen from their commitments after the effort that is sacred to every artist who creates his own creation, just as a mother who raises her son from pain and fruit his passion has finally given birth to a new chip, part of a larger organism that is comics to the cube in its entirety.
In the beginning was the thought, the idea, it will ink a paper but pure hope,
